We’re lucky; our Sixth Form campus is positioned so close to the beach means during lunch and free time students are just a five minute stroll away from Southbourne clifftop; and a 10 minute walk away from the cafes and shops of Southbourne high street.
Due to the boarding opportunities available, BCS Sixth Form attracts an international contingent, which allows a diverse mix of cultures and the opportunities of making friends from different corners of the globe. The environment is both friendly and welcoming which in turn, develops a close and supportive group of students.
We encourage our Sixth Formers to get as involved with the school as possible – prefect roles and the positions of both Heads of School and Prefects, present themselves in the Sixth Form, as well as the rewarding opportunities of mentoring younger pupils from years 7-11. We’re keen for them to be a part of all aspects of school life – including assisting with co-curricular clubs and organising charity community events and school proms.
External trips are a big part of Sixth Form life; highlights over the last few years have included Iceland, New York, Goodwood Races and New Forest Waterpark.
