School Fees

School Fees

At BCS we are conscious, as we prepare our academic and financial plans, that investing in an Independent School education is a significant expenditure for families.

Fees for education at BCS vary depending on the school (Prep or Senior) and the stage your child is at in the school and whether he or she is a day pupil or a boarder. We offer a discount of 5% for the first sibling and 10% for the second and subsequent siblings.

We strongly believe in providing value for money and always strive to keep annual fee increases to a minimum. We therefore continually ensure that we employ high quality staff and set stretching goals alongside a focus on efficiency and budget management.

We are also mindful of the financial pressures on families as we establish our fees for the forthcoming year.

In line with our commitment to strive for the best value for money, each component of our budget across our schools has been reviewed to ensure every piece of expenditure is absolutely necessary and delivers the best value and educational impact.

VAT charges on all independent education in 2025
Please note that the UK Government has announced on 29th July 2024 that it intends to charge VAT on all independent education tuition and boarding fees, from January 1st 2025. This means that the second and third term of this academic year, for all independent education establishments in the UK, will be subject to VAT. The UK government is expected to officially publish this potential VAT policy in the Autumn budget which will be released to the public on 30th Oct 2024. If the above VAT policy is approved in the British Government’s Autumn budget, we will have to charge VAT on our tuition fees going forward. We are working on the level we can absorb, so that the impact of a fees increase to our customers is as low as possible. A revised VAT invoice will be sent to you in December 2024 to reflect the VAT applied to our tuition fees.

Please note:

  • For domestic students the registration fee is £100
  • For domestic students studying at BCS the deposit is £500
  • For international students the registration fee is £500
  • For international students studying at BCS for two terms or less the deposit is £700
  • For international students studying at BCS for three terms or more the deposit is £2500
