Last week kicked off with the Para Swimming World Series including the British Para Swimming Meet in Sheffield. BCS travelled with three members of the team; present pupil Luke, BCS alumni Leo McCrea and external member Zack. Fantastic achievements all round, with Luke qualifying for the Freestyle British final where he achieved an equal lifetime best swim finishing 8th; Zack qualifying for the 200IM British final where he finished 5th; and Leo qualifying for the Breaststroke World Series final where he finished 8th, breaking his own British SB5 100 BRS record. Our Head Coach Mr Woodward even got a change to meet Paralympian champion Ellie Simmonds.
Then on Saturday 18th March, BCS entered its first ever team format competition, the Dorset Novice Gala at Littledown. This is only made possible due to the growth of our junior base and the hard work Mr Watson puts into developing our Prep School Swimmers!
Well done to Anneliese, Alice, Lilly, Romilly, Hollie, Rory, Guy, Oliver, Callum, Emily, Eliza and Daniel who all showcased some fantastic swimming efforts.
Future stars all in the making!
