Meet Sophia & Sophia, Year 13 students and best friends. Find out about their time at BCS.

Who is your favourite teacher/subject?

Our favourite teacher is Mrs Reid because she always supports us with any issues and our studies, especially Geography. She was also our head of year. We both love studying Geography especially the human rights topic - but we also help each other in our other subjects, testing one and another and rehearsing lines for preforming arts.

Can you share a memorable moment or experience you've had together at school?

Our most memorable moment together would have to be the Geography school trip to Cornwall because it was action packed and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our fellow peers, learning and laughing with each other on the 'Go Ape' trials!

How do you support each other academically?

We support each other academically through meeting up outside of school and running revision sessions for our joint subjects.

What does a typical free period look like?

A typical period looks like us comparing notes and going through exam questions as well as going out for the odd coffee in Southbourne.

Do you have any shared interests or extracurricular activities you enjoy participating in together at school?

Our shared interests are going to the gym together and the occasional nice dinner.

How do you motivate and support each other during times of stress or pressure within school?

We make sure that we have something planned for the weekend that’s fun to keep us motivated, we also encourage each other to revise.

What are your plans for the future?

Sophia R is planning on going to UWE Bristol and Sophia A is doing an accounting apprenticeship. We plan to stay best friends through the upcoming years.

How has your friendship influenced your overall experience at BCS?

Our friendship has made such a positive impact on our experience at BCS in the last five years! We will miss being at school together.
