“Maturity, versatility, courage and resilience”, are words the Headmaster, Russell Slatford, used to describe the Year 11 cohort as they received their GCSE results today.

The students at Bournemouth Collegiate School have worked exceptionally hard this year to achieve a remarkable and again record-breaking set of examination results, with over 50% of the grades awarded at 9-7.

The two top performers were Keira, achieving an impressive eight 9 grades, and one 8; and Samson, with six 9 grades and two 8s.

The Headmaster added: “We could not be prouder of the pupils at BCS; indeed, to all young people receiving results today, they should be deeply proud with what they have achieved after what has been a really challenging and uncertain year. Whilst the difficulties have been clear to see, the skills our students have gained, and dedication and determination they have shown, will no doubt drive them onto very bright futures in both their education and lives.”
