Bournemouth Collegiate School is celebrating record-breaking public A Level results, truly showcasing how the hard work and dedication of our students will ultimately achieve results to be proud of!
Our Sixth Form benefits from small classes, personalised tracking of progress, bespoke tutoring and a strong co-curricular programme, the success of which is evident with a huge 86% of all grades awarded at A*- C, with just under 40% of students achieving a grade A* or A.
In particular, the school has achieved outstanding performance in Performing Arts with 100% A*-A; BTEC Sport with 100% A*; Art with 100% A*-B; Photography with 100% A*-B. Psychology with 100% A*-B, and English with 88% A*-C.
Students from BCS will be taking up places at top universities and colleges including Central St Martins, BIRD College, BIMM University, Cardiff University and the University of Exeter. 30% of our students are heading to Russell Group Universities.
Head of Sixth Form, Lucy Beng said, “These strong results demonstrate the hard work and sheer determination of our students, I couldn’t be happier with their achievements and I am incredibly impressed with both their resilience and positive learning attitude.”
Principal, Maria Coulter commented, “We are incredibly proud of all our students. The breadth of subjects our Sixth Formers are going on to study demonstrates how BCS is a school where they can pursue their interests, be themselves and develop the knowledge, skills and understanding to succeed in the next stage of their learning journey; wherever this may take them. This year group, in particular, demonstrated leadership in character as well as in achievement.
Our aim is always to discover, nurture and engage the extraordinary in all of our students, and we wish them every success as they prepare for the next chapter in their lives. They are ambitious, selflessly so – well done!”
