Over a third of our pupils achieved A*-A grades – of particular note are Xin Rui who secured four A*s and an A grade which secures her place at Imperial College London; Josh with two A*s and a Distinction has been accepted into Cardiff University following his gap year; and Sofia with three A*s securing her place at the University of Brighton. Sofia has also been confirmed by the chief executive of OCR as one of the top performers in A Level Art and Design internationally.
In particular, the school has achieved outstanding performance, with 100% A*-B; in Business, French, History, Performing Arts and EPQ with 100% A*-A in Further Maths, German, Russian and Chinese.
Lucy Beng, Head of Sixth Form commented, "Our students have surpassed themselves yet again this year achieving another fantastic set of A Level results. The Sixth Form team and I are very proud of them all. These results have enabled them to progress onto their chosen post 18 destinations and we wish them all the very best in their future endeavours."
Almost 60% of pupils achieved an A*- B grade and have secured top apprenticeships and their first-choice university place. Pupils from BCS will be taking up places at top universities and colleges including the Imperial College London, University of Bristol, Cardiff University and the University of Southampton alongside specialist courses at creative arts universities. 26% of our students’ university places are at Russell Group Universities.
