Following successful A Level results last week, Bournemouth Collegiate School is once again celebrating after the GCSE cohort also breaks pre pandemic records with their fantastic results!
A huge 92% of pupils from BCS Senior School achieved grades at 9-4, 50% of pupils achieved 6 or above (B grade) and over a quarter of pupils achieved the top grades 9-7.
Subjects which achieved 100% pass rate included English Literature, Further Maths, Art, French, Performing Arts, History, Music, PE, Chinese and Resistant Materials.
Principal, Maria Coulter, said: "We are celebrating a record year of outstanding GCSE results based on pre pandemic results and I am absolutely thrilled by them. These results represent a tremendous achievement for both pupils and staff who have worked incredibly hard to achieve this level of success.
I congratulate all those pupils who have achieved their personal targets when they have faced so many challenges as a result of the pandemic. BCS is a non-selective school and in so many cases pupils have exceeded at GCSE alongside balancing a broad range of commitments in performance and sport to a very high level. I look forward to welcoming these pupils to BCS Sixth Form in order to build on this excellent foundation for A Level studies.
BCS is going from strength to strength and it was a privilege to be amongst so many happy students this morning, I am incredibly proud of the resilience and determination of each pupil.”
